English – Dialogues British Council Teens

Hi,

It’s time to practice our speaking skills. To get started, we will read dialogues from British Council Learn English Teens, in pairs. We listen to the dialogues on the website, practice pronunciation and the meaning of the texts. We underline 10 words and write them in a word book. A “Random Pair Generator” mix all present students to make pairs. I send them out in the corridor to read aloud.

MÅL: Att kunna prata engelska, eller med inlevelse läsa högt för varandra, och förstå innehållet.
Till att börja med att kunna läsa dialoger tillsammans med en kamrat, uttala orden och förstå innehållet.

Lesson plan – start
1.) Open the website. Listen to the dialogue, all three steps.
2.) Open the transcript and hand out a paper copy to each student.
3.) Read the text and talk about pronunciation.
4.) Translate the text, or explain the meaning.
5.) Read aloud together, sentence by sentence.
6.) Split the group in pairs.
7.) Send the students out on a conversation walk, to read the dialog.
8.) Write 10 words from the dialogue in your word book.
